Happy "Dong Zhi" Festival!

today is 冬至 (dong zhi).

usually on this festival, we usually eat 汤圆 (tang yuan).

since i didn't go back home and celebrate, decided to cook a meal for this festival with sis, plus we bought those readily-made tang yuan for the celebration.

the tang yuan was not bad. the fillings of the tang yuan was super yummy. (fat fat already... keep eating >.<)

i also made the sweet and sour meatballs. haha... the meatballs are not bad also. is up to the standard. mind you that i don't cook very often. :p

but during the cooking session, some incident happened and this was the very first time happened.

well, after frying the meatballs, i wanted to cook the sweet and sour sauce.
so after putting all the ingredients into the frying pan, i wanted to put ketchup. I used the bottle of ketchup that was left upside down for quite a number of days. you may ask why it was left upside down. becoz it's going to finish soon and there's still some left at the bottom of the bottle, so left it upside down so that it will come out from the bottle easier.

but never would i have imagined that when i opened the lid of the bottle, "POP!". A loud "POP!" and ketchup was splashed everywhere! on the food hob, stove, wall and even on my sis who was standing next to me while i was cooking. luckily is on my sis clothes and not her face! if it's her face, that would be an even funnier sight la... wahahaha...

at that moment, i was totally stunned at the sound of it, and also i saw some vapour coming out from the bottle. stunned until i forgot that my food is still cooking on the gas stove.

It was like opening a gassy soda bottle. i guess that the pressure inside the ketchup bottle was too big that it made the whole kitchen in a mess.

well, this is my first time encountering such incident. it was funny! haha... but it was painful experience also. coz i need to clean the whole mess. zzz

what a drama for "dong zhi" day! haha
